Matt McDonough
Owner / Operator
- I started my landscape career in 1994 while in high school, and worked for nine years in the industry before starting McDonough Landscaping, Inc.
- I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Minnesota, with an emphasis on Landscape Design and Management
- My decision to work in landscaping was out of my love for the outdoors, but along the way I also found a passion for solving my client’s issues with their yard and transforming an existing landscape and creating something special.
- My free time is spent with my wife, Jennifer, and our daughters, Addison and Grace, with our two dogs in our own backyard landscape.

Matt brings 20 years of experience in all areas of the landscape industry to your landscape project. He will work with you to design and plan your landscape project, as well as work alongside the crew in the installation of it. Matt’s passion for landscaping will ensure you are completely satisfied with your new landscape.
Along with his B.S. in Environmental Horticulture, Matt also holds the following certifications:
- MN Nursery & Landscape Association, Certified Landscape Professional
- ICPI, Certified Paver Installer
- NCMA, Certified Retaining Wall Installer
- MNDOT, Certified Landscape Specialist
